Spring Update 2011

Budburst on the vines at Lily Farm Vineyard, east Devon04 April 2011

The vines underwent budburst on 4 April and no wonder, the temperature on our vineyard slopes has been 27C this past week.  Alan and I are both wearing our sunhats and the sheep clearly have a need for a date with the shearer.  We have had our first visitors of the season who came from Sweden and then Switzerland.  Our new wines have been bottled and as soon as we have the results of their post bottling analysis we can complete the labels and get the wine on the shelves.
